Nice list. But I think enough content and url format should at least be in the top3. :D

The page title should contain your keyword phrase that you are targeting your page towards.
To chose your ideal phrase for a page try the Overture Keyword Selector:
    http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

NOTE: Remember to go for a keyword phrase that isn't too popular (so you don't have too much competition) but isn't too unpopular (so you get enough visitors)
Ideally I'd say go for a phrase for each page on your site that is searched for 250 to 5000 times a month.

If you have two links on your website that point to the same page using different URL's then search engines could consider this to be duplicate content.
For exampe, if you have your logo pointing to your home page using http://www.YourDomain.com and some text saying 'Home Page' pointing to your home page using the URL http://www.YourDomain.com/index.htm then that isn't good.

Home Page URLs.- Having multiple home page naming conventions and Back Links to those multiple root domains. The best way to tackle these is via 301 redirects or mod rewrites

    Here are some examples of what I mean;
    http://www.example.com
    https://www.example.com
    http://www.example.com/index.htm (asp/php)
    https://www.example.com/index.htm
    http://example.com
    https://example.com
    http://example.com/index.htm
    https://example.com/index.htm
    http://www.example.com/home/
    https://example.com/home/

    Duplicate Content stuff

I think I always make the mistake to make a site in firefox (which I use) but forget about ie. I always have to find ways to change pages to work with both lol :)

I sincerely think that #8 should be "Not Enough UNIQUE Content".

    Just my two cents...

Excellent post. I don't think the order of the list matters. What the list contains & the information we can learn and apply is what really matters.

No Worries, Andy - This is a great forum for sharing SEO info

A lot of websites use images or drop-down-menus as their sole method of a user navigating the website.
Although this is find for users - it's not great for search engines.

Simple, text based navigation instead of or in addition to the other site navigation will benefit you for two reasons:

    1) Search engines may find it easier to 'spider' your site and find every page

    2) Keywords in the text will improve the search engine ranking of other pages on your site
