Homer, I just started a thread on this issue, you will find that Google and Yahoo have been fighting this for quite a while now. So come on in and let's discuss any issue you have here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=13333
hey .... I don't think people must be worried abt what's happening in India, adwords advertisers sud simply not display their ads in India!!! That solves the problem ...
http://www.swapclicks.net/ is quite a bad site isn't it Anthony? Those fuckers have me convinced to never ever rejoin the content network again with my AdWords ads. I don't think Google is going to make any real efforts to eradicate this problem since it's not a problem for them per se. They make more money if more poeple click their AdSense ads. They abuse their internet search marketing monopoly by realizing the AdWords advertiser has no other option so they'll stay with Google anyway. So why would they stop this? They're laughing all the way to the bank... And then they pay their top executives just $1 a month...
Agreed tops. This is why I beleive aggresive actions taken by AdWord advertisers may be the only effective form of correction. If many AdWords clients took the time to understand this.. A) They would stop using the program B) They would notify Google and tell them that if this is not stopped...take this Adwords account and stuff it where the sun don't shine. Disgusting
and do what instead Homer ?? If they are selling more product due to the adwords campaign, then the advertiser will be happy. OK, remove the fraud and the ROI would be higher, but how much ?
I just stoppped my content ads. THe conversion on those was horrible anyway. It has meant a much bigger budget for the search (including a lot more keywords) and I was able to bring in a lot more sales for a lot less money. Content ads are a waste of money 90% of the time
Do you guys want to join the "Click Fraud" Thread or just keep bitching about everything. Google and Yahoo are fighting click fraud by using software, that is the only way it can be done, even if folks are clicking on ads do you think you get charged for 100 clicks in a row if I sit there and click on the same ad 100 times in the next 5 minutes? I guess when I post articles on the subject of lawsuits being filed against scammers you guys would rather not comment on those but would rather just go out and find another ADSENSE Cheater and post a live link. Man that makes for a good thread.......
The keyword being ROI...we all need that result to continue with the program or we go broke, right? As far as how much of your campaign is fraud, I don't have that answer and would suggest that this would be site specific. I am reading articles today that are suggesting 5 to 20% is cheating or fraud, what ever you want to call it. If I'm Yahoo and Google THAT'S SIGNIFICANT. I would imagine whatever the number is, it is not declining.
