Click fraud schemes are not new folks, Google is aware of them as they have been around for years now. http://vivisimo.com/search?v:sources=Web&query=PPC+click+fraud+India&x=46&y=11 Let's not act like this is the shock of the century, most of these are being run by kids with pipe dreams and they will pop up everyday and Google will knock them down everyday
interesting that Anthony can post 300 threads on total off topic twaddle (whatever that means), but a thread about adsense violation ,,,and he's up in arms !! hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................
Hey Fryman, don't start, I am just starting to like you again (how in the hell could one hate "The Master of the Cave")
I am beginning to think you are a part of such fraud..it seems every single thread here that talks about this you are trying to STOP...why? If today's post isn't enough to convince you that there is MAJOR fraud happening then you must be on the other side
Your starting to sound like GTech when we talk about the Republican party, I must be Osama Bin Ladin because I don't support Bush Homer, I can't help it that you are some sort of zealot on this subject, you just need to look at the facts: Google knows more about this than you or anyone else does and they really don't need your help or they would have hired you a long time ago. I am sure they are happy that you send complaints in and I think that is all they really want you to do.
Well, as I see it, there's like 2-3 threads per day about these topics. We know they exist. Google knows they exist. I don't think we need to keep continuing to "promote" these new findings on a daily basis. If anything, make a thread about the adsense cheaters and stick everything in there. We know by McDar's example that you can have a thread last an entire year and not have any problems with it.
I have been telling Homer to start it over at his forum, that way I and others can search Google and post all the live links of violators on his forum so he can fight with them 24/7 and he will not give me the link. He just wants to keep the threads with these kids going here for some odd reason.
Strange, excuse me for being still new here, but while lurking, I noticed many people here underestimate the scope of G's influence and observation. I wouldn't besurprised that some of these 'click-networks' are sting operations by G, or someone who is rewarded by G. So there might not be any reason to become self-appointed "G-men" and stressing about it. Just my novice observations. tom
Good point TommyD and a possibility that I did not consider. A sting operation eh? That actually makes sense.
I don't think Google does things like that, they can get all the information they need by data mining the search index and looking at click data patterns. Now we have 3 threads going on click fraud, I hope we are all happy
I agree. It would take Google 2 seconds to press a couple of buttons and get a list of possibler cheaters. No need for sting operations.
Google knows about click fraud, I know that is hard to believe http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=Google+click+fraud&btnG=Search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=PPC+click+fraud+india+&btnG=Google+Search
I started a thread on it 6 months ago on Digital Point, Google knows about Click fraud, read about the lawsuit in the following thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=5322&highlight=click+fraud+lawsuit+google http://news.com.com/Google+gets+gruff+over+click+fraud/2100-1024_3-5463243.html?tag=html.alert
This almost seems as though they (Google and Yahoo) are turning a blind eye?? Which begs the question...Is there corruption with the 'Police Force'. Fryman, I've seen this all over the net...do you know what (if any) corective action has been taken?
