    I think he has a valid point there.

    However, he must tell us his niche.

    Well if he was blogging on a high paying niche, he wouldn't be facing such a problem he is facing right now.

    I bet his CPM has gone down drastically and he is doing some mistake.

    I'd like to know more of what he's doing that gives him such a low CPM.

    It was not cause by traffic, it definitely crap by keywords. Had you admit to surrendered? WTF google is good enough to pay the related sites with better contents in their niche.

    It really depends on how high the advertiser of the ad bids on that keyword. The higher the bid, the more you get paid. I think Google has a constant rate for paying publishers. I think it's around 15%. I would forget AdSense in your case and try a different method of monetizing your site. AdSense is a poor man's way of making money online. It does not require much knowledge nor money to start but also does not make much money either.

    It may just be a matter of ad placement.

    How many ad units on the page? Any link units? How old is the site?

    Also, is the AdSense account verified?
