My donation deductions were somewhere around 5 figures. That said, some places will be hurting pretty bad this year if that bitch gets her way. Why on earth anyone would mess with this is beyond me. You're going to see little to no donations at all as a result. Lets face it, donations are WAY down ATM as it is. Now their gonna eliminate the deductions? Someone better explain to Dumbama exactly why people donate in the first place. What a friggin idiot.
Obama saying that disallowing the tax deduction for charities is on of the dumbest things I have ever heard. The whole liberal administration is about one thing. Punishing hard working people and rewarding losers. I just done my taxes the other day and I had paid around $5700 in federal tax. I am probably have a different job description than most on this forum. I am a industrial welder/web geek. I work in power plants, refineries, etc... My work is very physically demanding and I work usually 50-60 hrs per week. I can look back on 2008 and remember some of things I had to do to pay my house payment and support my family. I remember in the summer when it was 100 degrees and I was outside in the hot sun for 10hrs a day with my welding hood on getting that nice skin burning smell do to the heat. Some of you women might associate it with a that tanning bed smell. I remember one particular day in the winter when I was 150ft in the air on a tiny scaffold. 23 degrees and 45 mile hour north wind with ice pelting me in the face and wondering how the hell am I going to get down because all the rungs of the ladder were frozen. My job sucks but that is what I have to do to pay the bills for now. Like I said I paid taxes and done what it took to support my family. I also did my sister-in-laws taxes. She has a kid out and has never been married. She misses quite a bit of work and has been fired several times. Working a 40hr week for her is a accomplishment. When doing my taxes I used some fuzzy math and had to be very creative to break close to even which is -$5700. My sister-in-law received $3800 refund and she paid $0 in federal taxes. Where is the fairness ? Where is the fairness when I worked so hard to do what is right and we are bailing out companies that owe a $100 million dollars in taxes.
Foxman. Dumbama's problem is, he's NEVER WORKED A DAY IN HIS LIFE. Had he at the very least worked at a fast food joint, or done something physical, he'd never be doing the things he is doing. He has no understanding of real work, suffering, or the pride of accomplishment and experience that working lends to ones soul. He's a mutha fucking idiot. There's no kinder way to describe him.
In Obama's case he was able to attend private school and his mom study for advanced degress all the while collecting welfare. No wonder he has a welfare mentality. Pelosi is saying "Let them eat cake"
Ahhh, whoops, I misread this, I thought it said dumbya lol. I was about to say..."umm, you do realize he owns a ranch and used to work it all the time while he was younger right?" But, then I read it again before posting. And I completely agree with you. Why should he work when he can take taxpayers dollars for welfare?
Hey, that's why getting into the White House was a perfect fit for him and his family. They are used to public house. Why should this be any different. She's the devil herself. Both Clinton and Bush ran states before becoming president. Prior to that both worked in the private sector at some point. One owned a business, ball team, and served in the military. The other spent his military time in the dead of winter in Prague and Moscow. Neither were on welfare if I recall, and both continue a pretty active lifestyle. Dumbama on the other hand? Nada. Hell, Obama got his first public post on a legal technicality. He was not even elected.
I'll accept both ran states, but that's politics. Obama is a politician, too, so that's a wash to me. But to say Bush worked, that draft-dodging, cocaine snorting, business failure is ridiculous. Bush's whole life was about avoiding work. Look at his record in the White House. No President took as many vacations as that fool! So my question is, why does Bush get to be a total asshat for 8 years while Obama doesn't get 3 months? I understand Obama has little-to-no experience, but Bush's whole life was a failure and he got every opportunity to screw up as much as he wanted while President without people disrespecting him in his first 3 months. To me, it looks like a double standard.
Dumbama is a community organizer, nothing more. You want to alter reality, you go right ahead. Ever fly an aircraft? When you get your pilots license, give me a call. No need. I lived it. What "vacations" are you referring too? You've never worked from home? I do it all the time. It's hardly a vacation. Over the same period as Dumbama Bush has a higher approval rating and more confidence than Dumbama has exhibited. Every time Dumbama talks the stock market goes down. He has NO experience. Not little to no. NO, NONE, NADA! Could you please explain what "failure's" you are referring to with regard to Bush? When you get your education from a liberal drive by media and Hollywood hacks, you're obviously going to get a different picture of reality. NO, there's no double standard.
Who? Huh? Oh, I get it. When Bush takes a vacation, it's work. When Obama works in the White House, it's a vacation. Are you saying approval ratings are how you determine if a President is a success or not? Obama and Bush: A Contrast in Popularity Okay, so the President has no experience. I don't see how that's any basis for disrespecting the office of the President. Many despised Bush but held their tongues (including myself), including after the Katrina debacle. Why? Respect for the office of President. However, when a new President is elected, some feel the need to cheapen the office in a way that never happened with Bush. To me, I am trying to determine what is the true basis for disdaining the President. It certainly isn't for job performance or approval ratings. Something more is at work here. If you are saying Bush is somehow better than Obama, with the economy in the shape it is, then it certainly appears to be a huge double standard. It's as if Bush is somehow better than Obama for reasons other than performance on the job. Leaving politics aside and looking at the state of the economy, I wonder why job performance is not the most relevant issue here (Bush had 8 years, Obama 3 months).
What Katrina debacle? You mean the one where the mayor and Governor let down the people by not giving them the buses that where available. Or maybe it was the corruption at the local level for years of taking federal money and not really doing anything that would prevent this catastrophe from happening. Or maybe the it was the dumb ass people practical choosing to live in a bowl surrounded by water for years. So lets get this straight. First it is people, the local mayor. Then Governor. Then President. No! Bush was no means a perfect President. Nor does he come off as the brightest bulb in the world. But I am sick and tired of weak minded media fed liberals spewing bullshit about Bush. After Katrina I heard a local resident on TV. She was at the Stadium. The reporter asked her if she was ok. She replied " No! I am not all they want to do is give me cold sandwiches and water. They don't even give us hot meals". Another women looked into the camera and said " I want a house. I don't want no damm trailer to live in. Get me a house George Bush"."Where is my house George Bush?" What the hell is wrong with these people? The reason they have the attitude they do is because the rely on the government for a hand out every month. Is it George Bushes job to get that lady a house? The other lady talking about the sandwiches. How about being happy that your eating. I can understand if you could not walk or sick or so old you just do not know what the hell is going on but please ! Give me a FN break people. Look if you have a pool of alligators and every day you go feed them for years do you know what happens? They quit hunting. A lot of these people have grown dependent on the government and think someone owes them something. The going thing is to blame Bush on everything. It is media driven for weak minded people to buy into that. Is Bush perfect? No ! Is he a monster as the liberal media portrays him to be.? No! Off course not. So when you speak about the so called Bush/Katrina debacle. Try to add the truth next time instead of the generalization of Bush the monster to me. Because I am not buying the BS you are selling PioneerGold!
What does this have to do with Bush? He was the President. He got all those laws passed to so-called protect the country. He so-called cared about Americans safety. So, where the hell was he during Katrina besides congratulating the FEMA director for being a complete fool (another Bush appointee). If you can't take responsibility for natural disasters as President (regardless of the excuses), you have no business being President. So, you do admit Bush was ultimately responsible? On the one hand, you blame someone for believing the media and the next minute you are quoting the media. You can't have it both ways. I don't know what this has to do with what Bush did as President. He had every opportunity to prepare, respond, and control the situation after Katrina. He completely failed which is why the country stopped listening to that idiot. Well, I'm not here to convince you. But no one has remotely convinced me that Bush deserved respect and Obama does not. If Bush can be a masterful moron for 8 years and be given his due, why can't Obama. Once again, I think Obama will be a terrific failure. However, I just don't understand why people treated Bush with such patience and consideration for so long while Obama doesn't get the same treatment.
Well, lets throw out the fact that Obama has yet to prove his eligibility to be president. They made Bush do it. They made McCain do it, before the election. Knowin McCain was from his service records. But, Obama changes teh subject, congress changes the subject, everytime it's mentioned. Sounds like he's got something to hide, huh? Until he can produce his birth certificate, and prove his CONSTITUTIONAL eligibilty, I will continue with disdain. He opens his mouth and talks about spending MORE money, the stock market looses another 100 points. But, hey, it's ok right? I mean, he's helping the economy? LOL!. When the stock market goes down, the economy goes down. They're one and the same. The recession we are in is YEARS in the making. Not just 5 or 8, but 10+ years. That brings us to who? Oh yeah, another democratic congress with a democratic president. Imagine that. You liberals are so scared of facts. He can quote the media, as that seems to be the only thing you understand, is what the media tells you to believe. It's pathetic, how about you think for yourself for a change and quit drinking the Kool-Aid. Why should Obama get treated with respect? Bush hasn't from the time he took office. It's ok to want to offer both of them respect, but, when he was getting based from the moment he took office and still is even after leaving, don't expect it. We tried. I honestly tried to give him 100 days as I do everyone, even when I work somewhere and I have bosses. But, a person can easily stop my attempts by doing things like not proving your eligibility to be where you are, not having the experiance doing what he needs to do, etc. Bush ran Texas just fine, that is why we are the best We don't deal with liberal B/S. We don't just let the government tell us what to do, the media tell us what to believe. Have you noticed, the majority of people that don't buy into the media, and think for themselves, are conservatives? That should tell you something right there. But, better ask CNN what you should think about it first. Approval rating are the most skewed things in politics. All polls are. You can doctor them so easily just by asking a certain group of people. They only ask 1k-2k people. That is not representative of the regular persons belief. I hope after Obama utterly fails (which I sincerily hope he doesn't) but after he does, because he will, that affirmitive action goes out the window. This is clearly a case of it. Minority gets a position because of his color. Man was raised by his White mother. But, hey, thats not what CNN told you to believe, they want you to believe he's black. In apperance, yes, but, he was raised as a rich white guy. His wife only wants to help the black community. Your saying Bush is responsible for the Katrina debacle. But, that means, you think a General is responsible when a private messes up? How can that be? How about when a Company, Battalion, Regimental, even Division Commander messes up? Wow, that makes sense. And we don't disrespect the position, quit trying to act like we disrespect the office of the president. The office is nice. Been there once. It's generally clean, desk is large, lots of room, a couple of nice couches and a nice coffee table. I respect the office. Not the man.
If Bush was good for Texas, I'll accept that. My problem is he wasn't good for the country. The only state he has been good to is Texas. Not Louisiana. Not California. Not Michigan. Not New York. Not South Carolina. Only Texas. So, if you like him, it makes sense to me. And your point about the President, to me... when you disrespect the man in office, you disrespect the office. You may disagree/hate/despise the President, but to disrespect the President is like disrespecting the flag, the country, the military, and everything he represents. If that's how you feel, then hey, at least I know where you stand.
good try trying to throw all that in there. Considering the fact that I just RECENTLY got out of the army. So that is a mute point there. Same with the flag, and the country. Wrong answer, try again. When bush was governer he was great for texas. When he was great for the country overall as well. Not the best, but, better than some alternatives. He stood up and did his best. He wasn't a puppet with an earphone in to tell him how to talk. He talked from his heart. When his term was over, he bowed out graciously. Didn't do any retarded pranks like the clinton administration did (remember the W out of the keyboards incident?). And, like I've said, until he can prove his eligibility to hold that office, in my eyes, he's not.
Why should Bush take responsibility for natural disasters? Are you one of those that believes he planted something in the ocean and made the hurricane happen? LOL ! I was using a direct quote from two women who spoke directly into the camera. There is obviously a big difference between that and a constant pounding of the liberal media who's agenda is obviously to influence weak minded people to buy BS Bush Bashing. Were mistakes made? Yes. Like I said before " Bush is far from the monster portrayed in the media. Is he the best president ? No ! Was he a socialist like Obama ? No ! The fault lies in the order I previously stated. 1. Individual People 2. Mayor 3. Governer 4. President How could anyone see it any different? Do not believe in individual responsibility?
No, but he is the President, the leader of the free world. Yet, he can't take care of a little corner of his own world. To me, that is either a coward or an incompetent. The media chose to put those women on camera just like they chose not to hold bush responsible for his insane decision to invade Iraq. So, why did the liberal media choose people to make liberals look bad, if liberals control the media? Why can't you hold George W responsible. "Mistakes were made?" He made the mistakes. Bush wasn't socialist because he privatized the profits and socialized the losses. If that is your idea of sound economic planning then I suppose you think the economy is doing well right now. I suppose you don't because everytime Bush screws-up, you come up with yet another excuse absolving him of personal responsibility (Patriot Act, Katrina, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, Katrina, Wall Street collapse, $700B bailout). I suppose nothng is ever his responsibility.
Since you completely ignore what I said, I'll just respond to a sall portion of your post. Patriot Act, Congress passed the law smart one, can't pin it on him. Katrina, well, it's Bush's fault because a hurricane hit and the local government, who should have had plans in place, didn't? In this country we believe in states rights not micromanagement from the federal government, well, at least the average person does. Abu Ghraib...was Bush there? Did he give them orders to take those pictures? Nope, can't pin that on him either. Guantanamo...been there for YEARS and YEARS before Bush got here. You said Katrina twice. Wall Street Collapase has been in the making for 10+ years, you need to learn how economy's work. The US goes through these recessions ever 15-20 years. Each time we bounce back better than before. Just get off your ass and get out there and work. I know, it's a new concept for you liberals, but, nothing beats the satisfaction of working with your hands and getting a job done. Unless, you're a liberal, than it would be the satisfaction of lotioning your hands or getting something for nothing. $700B Bailout, while I disagree with it, I also see why. Because, apparently unlike you, I have the ability to think for myself, not what the media tells me, and look at the other side. I can see the reasoning behind wanting to keep those 13 milions jobs that were at risk. Not that you know what a job is. And here is my last post again since you seemed to ignore it. What's wrong? Too many facts in there?
He was the President. He pushed, threatened, and signed the Patriot Act into law. He appointed the head of FEMA and congratulated the guy for being a complete screw-up. Abu Ghraib and Guatanamo had prisoners tortured. Hmmm. I wonder why this didn't happen under any of the previous Presidents. So, he was President and couldn't foresee, prevent, stop, nor correct any of the problems that led to the Wall Street collapse over an 8 year period. Sounds like a weak and ineffectual President to me. $700 billion bailout was a Wall Street/bank bailout. He certainly didn't bailout anyone with a mortgage. And... no one got indicted, investigated, or thrown in jail. In fact, they all kept their jobs, bonuses, and perks (to screw things up again). This is what I mean. Bush never takes personal responsibility. It's never his fault, it's always the other guy when bad, but him when things are good. And Bush is always appointing and protecting screw-ups (like himself). It was the screw-up, avoid personal responsibility, point fingers Presidency. And, if you think the US economy is going to bounce back from the Bush tragedy to the way things were this decade (gas guzzling cars, McMansions, mini-malls, luxury condos, bulging 401k/IRA accounts, high stock market, low unemployment, low gas prices), you are in for a BIG shock. That POS Bush basically destroyed the future for the United States. It would be a miracle of untold proportions for any President to fix this Bush mess without a whole lot more pain ahead.
