Thanks to Jagger I found out that

One of my sites, a php-mysql hotel booking thing, disappeared allmost completely from the serps (but is still indexed).

I thought it was because of duplicate content, so I changed the structure of the site to generate less of that.

Then I had Xenu's Link Sleuth have a look at the site, and this had strange results.

I found out that a funny error in the database, caused to generate a endless "loop" for robots on one certain page....

There are now more then 13.000 pages reported by google, while in fact there are much less...

My guess is that this error got punished by the "new" Google....

Now, what would be the best way to remove this coincidental shit from the google index?

I already have renamed the old page and this new page is the only one linked from site's structure now, and left the old page (now also without the error)there with a "noindex,nofollow"...

    Well...

It was a picture that wasn't linked to an item, didn't show up there, but it showed up on an other section on the site where you can browse the pictures and send ecards...

And because the site uses a base href= it created an endless loop...

To say it simple: i need to get rid of the 10.000 pages indexed by google because of a stupic error, but keep the good ones...

    Should have looked at that....

Now I only hope that this method also supports wildcards for dynamic urls because:

Please keep in mind that submitting via the automatic URL removal system will cause a temporary, six months, removal of your site from the Google index.

    TEMPORARY ?
