I would like to know if anyone thinks that registering your domain for 5 years or so would tell Google you are building a long-term site and are not a flash in the pan scam site?

    Any thoughts?

I think a site age is not the only parameter they take into consideration

Perhaps I explained poorly. Once you are in the sandbox for ranking a good keyword too fast or whatever then I want to know what would help to get you out faster.

From my research here is my current recipe:

    1. Keep building backlinks from Social Networks.
    2. Keep adding valuable, unique content every 2-3 days.
    3. Keep doing article submissions with a wide variety of keywords to many pages.
    4. Register your site for another 3+ years.

If this is a common occurrence for newer sites that build backlinks quickly and rank well then it would be good to come up with an A plan to avoid the sandbox at all but if you get stuck in it there should be a plan B to get out asap and be ranking well when you do get out. I have read of people ranking well for lots of good keywords as soon as they are out.

    Comments?

Congratulations! Some people lose faith once their sites land in the sandbox. This is really just temporary and continuously working on your site, just like you did, eventually gets your website out.

Are you sure your site was sandboxed?
It seems quite old to be in the sandbox.

Registering a domain for a long term is a positive factor. It adds some trust to the site.

Well, if it is old, why will it be within the sandbox? Google puts site that are not of quality within the sandbox - and congratulations. Now get the ratings up!

Once they analyze the site and find that you are ranking legitimately (you will be if you follow the other posts on this site), you will get out and be back to raking in the search results. so that's a common case (to get out of sandbox)

I read many threads about Sandbox: some said it existed some denied. But the fact is it is always a mystery. But there is one thing sure that if your site is penalized it will go out of SERPs. Now whether your site is only Google knows we can only expect about the Sandbox keeping your site within. However, many congratulations for getting back your rankings. Hope you will follow Google guidelines and keep updated your website for not to be drag into sandbox again :)
