hi I decided to join because my forum I run has been having issues with activity and I thought I might be able to learn some things here, as well as offer any advice I have about running forums. I also do graphics work, sometimes. I hope I'm not doing this wrong...I've had issues on other large forums with being warned and banned when I had no idea what I did wrong or the staff just changed their mind and decided they didn't want me around. I swear, I'm reading the rules here and trying hard. I hope to stay here a while! Even if I'm here mostly to learn how to promote a hobby site, rather than make a lot of money.

If you're into graphics stuff, there's like a ton of people interested in custom graphics for their sites. Check out the "Buy, Sell, Trade" section. Sometimes it can help to pick up these odd-jobs to avoid paying for things like hosting and domains out-of-pocket, and also to boost your reputation on this board.
