Thank you Page - Security - Clickbank

Greetings all,

I'm trying to setup a thank you page for my wife. She has written an ebook and wants to put it online at clickbank. I have been told some horror stories about people stealing content links and downloading things freely. The way it works is that after someone purchases the e-book they are directed back to her "Thank you" page where a link to the .pdf is provided.

Can anyone recommend a way to setup a thank you page so that no one can steal the link and post it elsewhere? or is that wishful thinking? I've seen some software online but have found no legit reviews of it.

How do you offer the customer the ebook to download then?

 

You could create a unique download link for each customer. That download link could time out. It could be tied to the IP address used by the customer when they made the payment. It could be linked to the customer through a cookie. The approach would be similar to one used to protect a logged in user information from other people.

 

That sounds like a great idea, Clancey but how do I go about setting something like that up?

anti-leech plugin will help you acheive this , you can block access to the file from others who have not paid.

 

One thing which can be done is using a 3rd party script such as dlguard(www.dlguard.com).
One can also ensure that the product's thankyou page is not indexed on the searchengine by using robots.txt.

Secondly the pdf can be directly mailed to the customer's email address as well.

Before I buy this program very often my content was stolen from my thank you page.I tried a lot of tricks without much success..Since i found fixmytypage i don't see my premium content posted in the forums
