I had attended an yahoo interview and posted the interview question and answer in my website, now someone copied it and are ranking http://www.google.co.in/search?q=yahoo+interview+questions&hl=en&start=10&sa=N better than my website. Shame on google search algorithm. Shame on your do not be evil principle.
In short it works this way, the website whose content got indexed first gets the quicker placement in search results.
This has happened to me also... i think google should do something for this. As it does not helps the original content maker...
Amit, my content was indexed the day after I had posted the yahoo interview questions in my website, so your point does not hold in this case.
May not be, he was ranking below me for few months but he has got 4 comments in the blog, the guy posing as if he has attended the interview and trying to find answers to those interview question So here is new seo technique, search for good original content in google, copy and paste in your blog and now make few peoples commenting on your blog, you will outrank the original website content in few months.Simple! EDIT: To amit, my website ranks in top ten in google for few keywords, so authority should not be a factor.
oh wow you sound like a seo pro i guess then. becase you say everyone who posted in this thread are wrong and you are the only person right here?
Not always. But older websites with higher number of backlinks tend to outperform those they stole their contents from.
this is the reason why the proxy cache works I'm trying to see if there's a simple solution for it: NoFollow Unless Your Google The main thing to do is contact the owner of whoever posted your content and tell him/her to remove it.
I have had similar stuff happen to me in the past. I put it down to the other sites having better SEO than me, so I let it go. If it's not the case here, then I don't know :s Maybe google are accepting bribes?
I saw an artile by a guy who took one of his own blog articles that had been online for some time and submitted it to many article submission sites as an experiment. He slowly watched the number of sites listed in google for his content increase, and then decrease again. His site was eventually no longer in the listing.
I google'd this guide on how to handle stolen content. It should be helpful. http://www.seroundtable.com/archives/002157.html
Thanks for the negative rep. Do not worry brother, I am just a software professional and little bit of freelance programmer, so even if I try for ten years I will not become seo expert like you EDIT: Too nora, I had contacted google, they have asked me to send a written letter to them ,next they will ask to pay 100000$ so that their attorney can defend me in court that the content really belongs to me, I will not see that much money in my life time
