When Barack Obama took office in 2009, Democrats had an effective 58-seat majority in the Senate, had a staggering 256 seats in the House and held 28 governorships. More than a 50% position in all of these offices. His anti-American tendencies on the international stage, big government take-over plans (e.g., Obamacare) and general political thuggery (corrupting the IRS, the DOJ, etc.,) however, have turned the electorate against him and his cronies. And it is not just losing the White House, of course. Democrats have been bleeding political power for quite a while now. Democrats lost the House and ceded the majority of governorships in 2010, lost control of the Senate in 2014 and control of the White House this year. All told, Democrats have shed 63 House seats, 10 Senate seats and 12 governorships under Obama. Reports are that Democrats lost over 1,000 political offices when you look at state legislatures and other lesser positions, as well. Well done! Obama should put in his resume as a candidate for the Republican National Committee chairmanship since he has done so much to advance the conservative cause. It is time to give thanks for his unrelenting efforts to demonstrate the clear failings of the left in very graphic and compelling ways.
It is a government take-over of 1/6 of the American economy and the attempted socialization of what was considered to be the best medical system in the world. To date, it has increased costs by an amazing amount, caused many doctors/nurses/etc. to retire early or otherwise leave the profession, and has decimated the insurance company options for many states. And that is just for starters. We will never know how many innovative medical equipment and pharmaceutical companies gave up R&D projects that might have greatly benefited us all in fear of the future of the industry. Think of it this way: what business has the government ever taken over that has become more successful and more efficient? I cannot point to a single example of such an occurrence. The failings of Obamacare played a major role in Trump's win and the other political gains that I mentioned above.
Because Obamacare dramatically increased the cost of health insurance and Obama is borrowing a ton of money to give some people "subsidies" while most middle and upper middle-class people do not qualify for those subsidies and are today paying double or triple what they paid for health insurance in 2013. That incompetent Barack Obama has borrowed $8 trillion since taking office to give people free stuff to buy votes for his party and is borrowing $46,877,128,843 PER DAY as of 11/10/2016. That's $46.877 BILLION per day added to the national debt to give people free stuff with a national debt nearing $20 TRILLION. and since then, please remind me how many jobs Republican House and Senate manage to create? fastreplies
None, the past eight years have seen the lowest job participation rates since the Great Depression. There are 94 million able-bodied Americans who have given up looking for work and are counted out of the unemployment numbers. Unheard of in more modern times. The Republican Congress tried multiple times to repeal the single biggest factor in this horrible number by repealing Obamacare which was vetoed (some times pocket vetoed) by Obama time and time again. Of course, it was that same Obamacare, costing the jobs and increasing medical costs, that caused the Democrats to lose Congress after they rammed it through against the will of the majority of Americans (and without a single Republican vote) in a naked power grab of 1/6 of the U.S. economy. Watch and learn what happens when it is repealed and small businesses understand that they will no longer be demonized by the president and regulated to death with cash freed up from the death of Obamacare. The next couple of years will be instructive for you. I have only seen this type of thing happen once and that was when Reagan similarly took over from Carter's disastrous liberal economic missteps. I think that we are in for the same great ride that we had back in the 1980's. Taxes and regulations were low and business was great.
You freaking right NONE, your saboteurs GOP rats made anything they could to destroy your Banana Republic A.K.A America economy to make Obama look bad, but guess what, Obama still managed to create 10+ Millions jobs a bit short Ronald Reagan's jobs numbers. In last 2 years they had both House and Senate and not even one job? Or as you rightly said: NONE ) fastreplies
The Obama years were a NET negative era for jobs. The negative NET number is how many jobs Obama killed with regulations (executive function) and Obamacare (Democrat passed.) That was what I mentioned earlier: the job participation numbers are at an all-time low with 90+ million people giving up looking for work which means that Obama lost way more jobs than he created. It has also been noted that these new jobs that he created are primarily low-wage and part-time jobs which do not replace the manufacturing and other higher paid jobs that his policies killed. Keep in mind, it is the small businesses that do the bulk of hiring in the U.S. Obama has spent his two terms demonizing small business owners ("You didn't build that company") and over-regulating them while forcing them to pay for Obamacare for their employees. During Obama's first four years, my sales teams and I were selling hard into the SMB market and our book of business was about a thousand of them that we visited one to three times per year. My preference in a sales call is to not talk politics, of course; there is no money in it. However, these small business owners who were normally too busy running their business to worry about politics were scared of Obama and what he had done. They would openly state to us, as vendors, that they felt that they were under assault by the government. They started cutting back on everything, including hiring and it has stayed that way until now. This is what I was alluding to earlier when I said that we are likely in store for a big surge in the economy as businesses realize that they no longer have an anti-business, socialist hack in the white house. Confidence will grow as the government becomes more small business-friendly. Sit back and watch; you will definitely learn something in the months ahead.
You do realize that people can read what you're saying? Nah, not you and alike, rednecks, white trash, trailer park losers. The population is much bigger today than it was 35 years ago when Reagan was president. 30 years ago the American population was 241.6 million versus 324.9 million today. What the Forbes article Mr./Ms. TIS posted does not mention is that Obama's unemployment rate has fallen for one reason: millions of people have dropped out of the Labor Force because of their inability to find work. Census: http://www.census.gov/popest/data/national/totals/1990s/tables/nat-total.txt http://www.nbcnews.com/business/mar...-000-jobs-october-vs-175-000-expected-n677916 Also, the level of workers counted as out of the labor force hit a fresh record, surging 425,000 to 94.6 million. And the labor-force participation rate also edged lower to 62.8 percent and remains mired around levels last seen in the late-1970s. Labor Force Participation Rate That's the legacy of failure of Barack Obama and the liberal left. 425,000 people dropping out of the workforce during the build-up to the Christmas rush is a terrible statistic. What's worse is those suffering from TIS. What is TIS? It's Trump Infatuation Syndrome. Those suffering from TIS cannot stop annoying others with their irrational Trump ramblings and stupid pictures. Victims of TIS also tape pictures of Donald Trump's face to their pillows and make love to those pillows, leaving layer after layer of crusty stains.
I, too, remember the Reagan years. My business was booming. My best year ever was DURING the Reagan years. I made more in that ONE year than I have made in ALL EIGHT of Obama's years combined, and we are talking about dollars that were worth a lot more during Reagan than now. Not so under Obama. I used to have FOUR employees as a very small business. Not any more. I now have NONE. My sales have taken hit after hit after hit ever since Obama got elected. Always for the same reason, no one had extra money to spend because the government was stealing from them. Sales even got so bad last year I was forced to CLOSE the shop I had been in for THIRTY-TWO years and downsize. Even then that was not enough and I am now seriously considering closing the doors after 33 years. NOT ONCE IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS HAVE I EVEN EARNED HALF AS MUCH AS THE TYPICAL MCDONALD'S GRUNT EARNS, in other words, I have not even made HALF of the current minimum wage. Will Trump change that? He says he will, but I have SERIOUS doubts. There are simply TOO MANY parasites that he will have to deal with, and I am not sure that ANYONE can turn this around for me and thousands of others like me.
If you look around the country, higher-end retailers like Macy's (and others) and upscale restaurants have been closing at an alarming rate. "The rich" are left with less after-tax money because of Obama's tax increases including the expiration of Bush tax cuts on $400k and up plus higher capital gains taxes, and much higher health insurance costs for those who pay for it themselves. So it shouldn't be surprising that the upscale market is in retrenchment. And that means lost jobs. What really astonishes me is how many long-lived businesses have gone out of business during Obama's presidency. Businesses that had been around for 75 or even more than 100 years have been dropping like flies. Businesses that survived a dozen recessions, the Great Depression, and two world wars could not survive the Obama presidency. That speaks volumes about the damage Obama has done to the country.
One day my 8 years old ask me to buy a few extra kilos of lemons and when I ask why, my little Lemon Stand dealer told me: can't you see city repairing our street which means I will need more lemons to supply the demand. Two days later there were two more neighborhood kinds hired making and selling lemonade faster they could made it. Business hire when there is demand and no amount of tax brakes would make businesses to hire if shelves are full with goods no one is buying. Company that made stupid Trump's hats went from 6 to 30 employees and now back to 6 because people started vomiting these idiotic hats For 6 years now Republicans relentlessly would starve economy without putting a dollar in infrastructure, in modernization, education to make the black guy look bad, but guess what, black guy managed to get on the top and against all adds create almost 15 Millions jobs. Reagan have Democratic House helping him because for them their country's well being was more important than who is going to claim glory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jobs_created_during_U.S._presidential_terms Check how many jobs your body G. Bush have created. Real patriots would be proud that country added millions of jobs, losers would idiotically blame successful third from the top best job numbers creator. fastreplies
As I was writing my reply (that you quote above,) I kind of realized that it was a waste of time as your juvenile responses on all of the political threads here show a complete lack of ability to intelligently engage in a discussion like this. I will not forget this moving forward.
Quite some time ago, Rush Limbaugh predicted that barack obama would hang around Washington DC to "protected his legacy" and criticize the new President if it turned out to be a Republican, and Limbaugh was right. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/20/u...nto-fray-as-democrats-counter-trump.html?_r=0 Obama May Jump Into Fray as Democrats Counter Trump President Obama is rethinking his plans to withdraw from the political arena after he leaves office next year, hinting to friends and supporters that he wants to add his voice to the shellshocked Democratic activists and elected officials who are now angrily vowing to oppose Donald J. Trump’s presidency. White House aides say they expect the president to try to refrain from criticism during the transition because of his belief in the importance of a courteous and dignified transfer of power. But while the president holds out hope that he might influence Mr. Trump, he has made it clear that once out of office he will not remain silent if Mr. Trump goes too far in undoing his legacy. What an idiot.
The left is about power at all costs. Things like honor and dignity do not factor in to their playbook. Quite the opposite, in fact. They viewed George W. Bush as a useful idiot who foolishly kept quiet to maintain the decorum of the presidency when he left office. Obama will not have the class to do the same for his successor; in fact, he will hold out his predictable post-office whining as a badge of honor to be admired by the leftwing control freaks he runs with.
I'm sure you know better who you are but... I have presented to you stats which clearly show that Obama have created as many jobs as your beloved Ronny Reagan had and you all the sadden have nothing to say.Really? Would you like to say Obama didn't? fastreplies
A legacy of being just about the worst president, ever. I thought that Jimmy Carter was bad, but at least he was just a misguided fool and not someone intent on harming the U.S., like Obama has been for 8 years.
