Well my question is pretty simple. Has there been any know factors in purchasing text links via TextLinkAds.com as far as SEO weight is concerned? I know google doesn't like text link purchasing, so can google read this and not give it as much weight? Is the coding on the person's site that's displaying my ad be readable by google as well (if there is such a thing?) Just wonderin, Kyle
Hi Kyle, TextLinkAds makes their publishers ad static links so search engines shouldn't be able to tell the difference. I would just purchase as relevant links as you can so it will help you out the most without the risk of not getting the "link juice".
I've had great success using Text-Link-Ads, helping gain traffic via SE's and gaining direct traffic from the advertiser. Win-win.
yep...text-link-ads put a static link on publishers site....1-2 months back i used text-link-ads to sell ad space on my pr5 blog. But currently i'm not using textlinkads coz they charge a lot ot advertisers, and pay pritty less to publishers. For my site they were paying me $10-$20 per link and they were charging more than twice to the advertisers! But as for SEO its good , coz they provide static links.
Has anyone bought a text link ad on answers.com or howstuffworks through them? If so does it bring any traffic?
I've got links on both those sites. Brings in minimal traffic, but SE ranking increased quite a lot once links were purchased.
There are a ton of bargains on TLA as well... I bought 3 this morning for less than $3 a month total. All relevant, not great PR, but every little bit helps.
I have used TLA before found a very relevant site which sends a fair amount of vistors to our site and increased our rankings a bit as well.
I have found in my limited experience with TLA that when I get links from sites that have a good Alexa rank and a good PR my results are better. Of course I have only bought half a dozen links in the last few months so I don't have enough data to say for sure if this is the best formula, but from my experience it is. I bought a TLA that had a PR 7 with thousands of backlinks. I got too excited and didn't look at the site close enough and later found that most of those backlinks were supplemental and the site had little traffic. It was from a reputable company but the site just didn't have the traffic anymore. Just research the site as much as you can.
