Text or Image Links?

Is there any proven stat in which suggests you make more money from Image or Text links from Google Adsense?

 

not sure if there is any proven stats but in my experience, banner images get great ctr but poor cpc while text gets poor ctr but good cpc, thats for me, other people it might be the other way round, best way is just to test.

 

I've always made more with image ads, however, linkunits have been better. =P

 

Basically text ads will make better earning than image ads.

 

text ads ...if you have only content based sites ..if you are selling something then image ads do batter

 

It all depends on the niche your site is in and whenther or not the Advertisers have quality (graphic) link ads. Certain sites fair better for text or image ads, for example, a dating blog would benefit much better off of image ads, where as a seo blog would probably fair better with regular text ads.

I suggest text links.

 

If you are looking for CPM ads then image ads are the ones to throw up. Otherwise stick with the text units that come with a series of options for the web user.

It looks like you should probably try both from all the advice you where given. How about we take a talley then well all recast our votes then have it decided by a third party judge.

I think text links are good.

 

Text link is always better than image link.
I always prefer text link.

 

Many have success on using Text Ads and being embedded around and inside contents which makes the ads looks like part of the content. As for Image Ads, visitors like children and gamers are good sample of target audience...

I use images only on my games blog and basically i earn much better in text link

 

I dont know any researches in this queston, but I prefer text ads.
But if you have small amount of graphic in your site, try images

 

The ads available change constantly. There is absolutely no way to have a solid answer for one or the other in terms of what to use in the future.

That being said, my last two tests with using images only appeared to both result in higher earnings for images only. I have no way to tell if other factors influenced it though. In both cases there have been months after the test where the numbers went back to where they were before the test.

 

Sometimes image ads have better CPC, while text ads have higher CTR. At least this is how they worked for one of my web sites.

Have your AdSense 1 set to text only; and your AdSense 2 set to image and text; this should be enough. And this solution is not perfect but it offers the best compromise; it is the middle way so to speak.

Both are equal I think. For me, Image ads are appealing and they help focus attention. You need to creatively word text link ads to get my click thrus.
