Hi, Are one way text links to your site very helpful to boosting website traffic and PR ? I mean the ones you have to pay for and buy from various services. What are the best text link stores ? Since some of these can be expensive per month, is it worth it ? Has anyone seen benefits from this ? Your opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

You're probably better off looking in the link sales section of DP than going for a private service, as this will probably save you money. Try to get links that are related to your site as this will be more benificial to you in the SERPS.
as far as beneficial, what is the goal of your site? do sell something? do you have content with ads? you can setup google analytics to track your inbound links to see if they convert to a specific goal...ie click a link, fill out a form, purchase a product. so it depends on what you want from your links.
