Text links with an anchor or Image links with an ALT text ?

Statcounter.com has many image links on huge number of sites across the web with an alt text and as you know they have massive backlinks and a PR10 so I come up with a question.

Which is better for a good SEO?
- Text links with an anchor text as a keyword or,
- Image links with an ALT text as a keyword or,
- Both are effective

Anchor text is probably better, but I'd definitely use both.

 

i guess its anchor text coz there is more weight for text dan image..

image alt is just good seo if you put images on a page, but not a great way to deploy an seo plan beyond that

With alt tag on image you can get extra traffic from Google images.
