Does anybody here uses text-links-ads? I tried to use their service and after like 10 min of pulling my hair out trying to find a link to visit the site i want to buy traffic from.. as you can guess, I can't find it. What's so hard about adding a link to the site in the title? I tried to email them about this a few time and no anwer, either my question is really noobish and the link is right in front of my face and they don't want to deal with noobs like me or this is really bad customer service. Either way, am really anoyed
The thing is that they want to make sure they ARE the middleman so they will never reveal the site until you pay for the ad. What I normally do is just use the $100 credit and then you can just negotiate directly with the site. They take 50% as commission and I really think that's unfair. The reason they do that is because they have very aggressive marketing and also seem to be the market leader.
The service they provide is well worth 50% ! I sell links for money I would never get here on DP per month !!!
The point is that they are being "monopoly" and have no good competition at the moment. I'm sure if I signed up through them on your site and then a month later I approached you directly you would agree to get 75% going outside TLA.
Of course I would take 75% ... only normal thing to do but that was not my point...at this moment tla are the best service I know and really don't care if they have monopoly....prices are good and both advertisers and publishers seem happy !
I tried the $100 new member credit offer to buy a few links for a couple of my websites. All seems to have gone smoothly but none of the backlinks are showing up in google though I know this isnt so unusual. Wether i will continue with the links after the $100 credit runs out i'm not sure, I think you get a better deal finding quality links from DP members.
to beat TLA all you need to do is make a similar site and charge less than 50% i'm surprised no one has taken the plunge yet..
Check out linkworth.com. I've heard people say good things about them, but their interface is totally hosed.
Maybe I might just make my own text-links-ads Now I understand why they don't allow you to check out the site, make sense I supose but 50%? what a ripoff! there service should come with free slice bread for the amount they take.
there are other link brokers : http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&q=buy+sell+links&btnG=Search
how come when you do a search in google for LINK BROKER Text-link-ads is no where to be found http://www.google.com/search?q=link+broker&hl=en&lr=&start=0&sa=N oh, unless you look at the PPC sponsered ads...what does that say about a company who sells links but has to pay for rankings with a keyword that has a measly 3 million results?
i submitted two of my better sites to TLA and got rejected quite quickly. I know one site has much better traffic than some of the other sites that are shown on the site. Anyone have insight how to get your sites approved?
I noticed that too before. Its obvious that they are preventing us from directly contacting the website owner.
Yeah right. You can buy a 2 GB iPod for $140 or you can buy a 4 GB SanDisk Sansa with the same features as the iPod PLUS FM radio and voice recording (none of which the iPod has) for the same price - $140. By your reasoning, SanDisk would have beat iPod by now. That's just one example. Point is, it's not about the price, it's about the brand and the Text-Link-Ads experience.
You kinda missed the point. I said you have to make a site similar to TLA. That means in every way, including brand and experience.
