Text Link or Image Link?

I'm running some sites from about a month and getting atleast 1000 visitors daily but getting $1-$1.5 per day.
What will I have to do to increase my adsense earning?
I'm new to adsense so unable to decide which is best? Text link is better or Image link?
If I use text link ads according to website color, is this better idea or Image link ads?
Please share your ideas.

I have tried them both (even got an email from G team saying images increase ECPM) but for me...images just do not work.
You could do a test with images for 2-3 weeks and compare the revenue.

 

Depend on the niche. Image ads works good on game, anima, photo, entertaiment niche. I suggest you try it out yourself, put image ads for two weeks, and the change to text ads for another two week to compare the result

 

if you website is like article, blog on knowledge sharing on business, money, loans ect. then text link create more revenue and if site is on game and entertainment, image ads much better in this case.

 

In my opinion, it depends on the site and niche you create.

I've tested that two ad types just last year and based on my experience, I've got better clicks with text ads

This is how it works for me:
images = higher CTR but lower CPC
text = lower CTR but higher CPC

 

To me when I'm on different websites, I find images more appealing and I just ignore text ads as I don't really notice them. Maybe it's just me, but that's why I use image ads for my site.

 

Its totally reverse in my case.
Images= Lower CTR but Higher CPC
Text= Higher CTR But Lower CPC

 

The text link converts better in most niches.

 

Well you need to have more traffic to increase your earnings and text links always work best than the image links.

Well, increase your content flow and traffic. I'd recommend having both turned on - that way if your content is good enough, images may display CPM

 

i think text-link wil give more income better than image ads. text link give opportunity for reader or visitor to click ads that interest them. i like to combine both, but the stress still on text ads.

 

depends on your niche. If yours is entertainment niche, you should go with image ads

as stated by someone in the above replies, it depends on the niche
for entertainment, games, wallpapers & related niches image ads works good
on the other hand properly embedded text ads are said to be good revenue generators
