Does anybody use text-link-ads ? I looked at their site, all sounds great, but does the estimation tool reflect what sites actually make on selling links? Any comments on this site or service? For a laugh I keyed in Google.com into thier estimator, the estimate was "Fuh-get about it" Estimate for Dmoz (as if they would sell the space) was $11k per month
Yes and No. TLA uses their tool for link price estimation so it pays well to publisher also (though it takes 50%). But usually on other places link prices is down by 50%-75% of what TLA estimates. And TLA shows high estimation in order to make sure to get good share that is 50% of link price
...pretty much, if the site is accepted then text-link-ads will sell ads for more-or-less the estimated price. The price for link buyers is high and as a publisher even though you only get 50% of what a link is sold for that 50% is higher than you'll find elsewhere. They are quite fussy regarding which sites they accept, but as a publisher you've nothing to lose - give it a go!
