Google disapproves of everything these days. Some people think that anything with a digital footprint (such as the plugin from TLA) could work against you and make you lose your pagerank. Now, that's on the end of the blogger or site owner that is displaying the TLA. I haven't really read any cases of advertisers losing pagerank or having lower serps from using TLA to advertise and get links to their site.
