Hello, I signed up with them about 2 months ago for one of my websites (PR5 at the time with about 40 content pages indexed), upon completing the signup process it said the site would be reviewed.

But there was already an approval email in my inbox, this made me reconsider their authenticity, when they tell publishers that their websites would be reviewed and automatically "reviewing" them. Any opinions? Are any DP members using them on their websites? Do they payout on time?

Indeed, unfortunately sometimes it can be a bit before advertisers buy links on your sites :( So not a get-rich-quick plan!

I haven't seen another link broker with an automated organic system to even compete with TLA. Everyone esle seems to be serving up ads with Javascript.

Yes, I agree. The quote for each link was a nice amount, and I figured that advertisers would be quick to order links at my website. If I had the link spots maxed with advertisers, I could pay off some bills each month. Sadly, none of my link spots are filled.

obenix, muthuis, AfterHim.com, The X Files, all of you have been paid by Text-link-ads.com right? It was upon your affirmations that I signed up for their affiliate program, and now I have not been paid 4 days past the payout date. I have made a thread about this:

    Please advise.

I believe they are legit people, but what I dont agree with is approving websites that are PR4+ instantly. Surely they need to do a bit more to check some quality factors of the website

Hmm but do you think people will then buy links on any crap website?
If you suggest a PR4+ Casino website and they approve it, how do you expect sales from that? Their job is instant activation but the buyer will anyway check the website before buying and making the payment :)

True what you are saying, but IMHO this is creating some extra work for your users, now they have to actually filter out the good from the bad :)

Its something like buyers beware :)
They have time to review the website and then buy it, so anyone making a investment will do it wisely, i hope that :)

I've been paid by them 3 or 4 times in a row. And i only sold 1-3 links each month. It's good but the 50% cut sucks. IMO it's worth it since you get the market of all those advertisers.

My problem with TLA, as a buyer, is that i cannot give the site, i may like to buy links on, a better review. With some sites you can figure out the URL by looking at the sceenshot and description. Most you cannot.

Of course TLA would prefer not to provide this info because it then becomes easy for the buyer to contact the site owner and do a deal directly with them, thus cutting out TLA.

But I want to know the quality of link i am getting. Knowing the sites PR is not enough. I want to do a backlink check to see who is linking to them. Take a peak at who they are linking to. And take a look at their alexa traffic. And check the quality of their content

I want quality links and not just any old pr5 site will do. Especialy if its a MFA article scraper site that gets its backlinks from link farms, other MFA's or bad neighborhoods and the like.

But that said, I should use them to try and sell some link spots on my sites.

I will rather visit a site where I don’t have to beware and can trust the webmasters, saving me time and getting the quality that I need.

Let’s say that we have 2 duplicate Text-link-ads sites.
The one has all the “rubbish” sites and the good ones and the other one you just have the quality sites filtered out by the trusted webmasters. Which one will you rather visit?

I am not at all saying text-link-ads is bad, I love it, I just thought there where quite a process to go through before approval of sites. :)

Its easier to get links up with their module. The bad thing is how they calculate prices of a link.
