You can edit it with a notepad: just right click on the HTML file , then select "edit with notepad" it's free ;)

I like TextPad....it is Free if you can deal with the once in a while Nag screen when you save a file. It is not too often to bother me. I like how quick it is to load.

The best FTP-enabled tool, though is PSPad - 100% free. It uses integrated FTP so that you can save files directly on your web server when you hit the save button.

I use Notepad most of the time, it doesnt need lot of memory, very handy and its fast too... Next one to go is dreamweaver.
Microsoft has launched Expression quite sometime back, didnt tried this out yet.
    Has anybody?

I just wish that notepad would retain the indentations rather than go back to the original margin after an indented line.

Never tried dreamweaver, though I have always "dreamed" of trying it ;-)

I didn't think there was a PC version of BBEdit. You have to love any program with a "Zap Gremlins" tool.

Seriously though, if you know html, xhtml, and css well enough a simple text editor is the best solution. If you can find one with a built in FTP component that does not add in hidden code or characters, that would be good too. Generally, the more bells and whistles the program has, though, the more extras it likes to embed. And you can't always see them (hence the zap gremlins in bbedit).
