Hi All, Recently I received an offer from a UK based Company that they would like me to participate in their advertising network by displaying text link on my website. I am currently displaying adsense on my site and I am wondering is it alright to add other text link on the same page where adsense is displayed? Another question is, what kind of "fee" is considered acceptable? My site is about 1 year old and currently has less than 1000 UV (per month). They have sent me their terms and conditions for my perusal and has offered a fee of USD150 (for 12 months) for displaying their clients' ad. Thanks for your view on this.
They just want to buy a text link from you for SEO purposes to increase the SERPS - Search engine result positions
If you accept it then be sure to protect your own site within Googles eyes, if G thinks your participating in paid links then they get the hump. By protect, I mean dont link to a whole bunch of sites, only link to a select few, and only to ones related to your content. Also ask them if they're ok with you adding a rel="nofollow" tag to the link, if they are OK with it then they just want the link for advertising, if they are not OK with it and want the text link added to your site without it then they are looking to boost their own serps... in which case make sure they are not in competition with you and you will be helping them to beat your own site in SERP rankings!
