Hi all, Just a randon question. Im displaying a 468x60 banner and I was thinking ehat gets more ctr - a text only banner or text and image banner or image only banner ?? As I cant properly track to see the results what are your thoughts on this ? thanks.
Image banner, if you get related ones, will get higher CTR but they might pay less for a click as a text ad. So it depends on each site I guess....but to answer your Q , I say image banner gets higher CTR.
I have always seen Image+text peforms better than text and then image ads. Image ads do not perform too well unless you have a relevant site such as arcade or wallpaper site where the best choice could be image ads. Image ads are often CPM ads so you dont get paid per click.
