Text ads on search results is giving me a much higher CTR. I'm sure that is probably normal, but my question is, how can I swing my percentages to have my ads display more on search results rather than on the content network? Right now i'm 97.7%/2.3% in favor of the content network side.
Well, it all depends on your keywords I believe. To have someone specifically search a keyword is a lot harder than to be on content network. Google will just put your ad up in content network on any site that is relevant to your keywords, but many of the people that are on content sites couldn't care less about ads and aren't really looking to buy or click on any ads. They tend to just read/do whatever is on the site ignoring the ads. So to get 1000 impressions on content network is A LOT easier than to get 1000 impressions on search results. The conversion for searches are higher also because people are specifically searching for something and are in the process of looking to get/find/buy/learn about whatever they're searching and will click on anything they think will help them. Search results = people are specifically looking for your product/information Content network = you hope people even notice your ad since they are too busy with other stuff So as for how to get higher impressions for search results and less for content network, it is completely out of your hands. Unless you just decide to turn off the content network that is.
I understand all that 100%, I really don't care do be on the content network, anyway to only be on search results/google?
