Text ads pay better for me, it's not what I think, it's what I know...I have toggled them back and forth a few times, and every time I enable images my revenue goes down about 20%.
Image ads = more clicks but taking CPC down ! Text Ads = few clicks but taking CPC up ! both will give you both (hign CPC and more clicks) because you giving the chance for the puplishers who will pay more ( Text or image not important ) .. Sorry my Bad English
Well, i can say you that Text ads with images in front of them works very good. Once i had a blogs with adsense rectangular ads, once i made a image blocks, with related images in front of the ads, that gave me incredible clickthrough, but then my urls were getting banned by google
lol, yeah i have seen sites do that . but that is sad how you might get mad . all i do is make the text ads match with my site. *Update : Just Changed My Ads to Text Ads Only
I use text ads on my major sites like stuffworth and gurudownloads, but Im more of a both ads type for most of my sites.
I use both for sure. I like the balance between them and I have them randomly show. So sometimes a page may have all text ads, then another time it has 1 image banner, etc. I find that it's better to use both at least for now. Of course I am speaking for myself and my traffic. I guess it could vary depending on your niche, etc. Just test them out and see what happens!
