Ok, please explain in a little more detail. Do you believe that if someone has a gun they instantly turn into this crazy person and go on a shooting spree?

That is like saying - if you give someone a car they will start running over people.

How will it increase crime? Does having a gun turn you crazy or something? Are guns aliens that take control of your mind or something? I would like to know "how" guns get this magical power to instantly turn law abiding citizens into criminals.

That is like saying if you have a baseball bat, you will start hitting people in the head. Or if you give kids playing little league baseball a bat, they will go around hitting people.

Guns do not turn people into instant criminals. A firearm is a piece of metal, not a magical wand that drives people crazy. Its no different from a car, or a knife, or a bat, or a screw driver,,,,,, people will show the same restraint with guns that they do with anything else.

I mean if a fight occurs on campus, it can turn bloody in no time, and having guns will increase such fatalities, College is for pens and friends, why need guns ?

I'm not sure I understand. Most people who own firearms legally have had some formal training and have respect for their weapons. I know of no responsible legal gun owner that treats a firearm like a "toy". Hell I won't let my kid point a fake gun at another person. The only time for that is when you intend to shoot them.

Guns in the hands of responsible legal owners do not cause more crime. If anything they deter it.

You have a good point. College students should have their hands removed so they can not make a fist. And maybe remove their arms so they can not hit people with their forearms. And lets remove their feet so they can not kick. And to stop head butts, lets just remove their heads. Did we miss anything?

If you "really" want to discuss guns and crime - every state that has passed a concealed carry law, the crime rates have gone down.

After the government seized guns in New Orleans after hurricane katrina, the crime and murder rate exploded. Criminals knew that the people were disarmed, so they took advantage of that. At one time New York city has the highest crime rate in the USA, they also have some of the strictest gun laws.

It highly unlikey that anyone on campus would pull a pistol on anyone else, mostly because they know the other person is armed. Also, in Texas, you can use lethal force to defend someone else. So one person pulls out their pistol, then everyone else pulls out theres. The trouble maker then realizes he is outgunned.

People in Texas are not trigger happy, we do not go around looking for people to shoot.

College campus or junior school campus?
