Is there a huge difference in internet speeds for stuff like web surfing and watching youtube videos?

I can download files about 10X's faster on my smartphone (Verizon) now with 4G LTE than I used to with 3G.

Wow, Ten times is huge different. In contrary, I could not browse nor download anything after switching from 3G to 4G LTE. The signal bar is just empty all the times. :D

Hmm... it seems I have to wait the provider to build 4G LTE infrastructure in my small town.
fortunately, 3G is more than enough to surf and streaming online videos. ^__^

While on vacation I used my phone's hotspot and burned through the 4G LTE allotted data and went in to 3G mode. There was a highly noticeable difference in DL times. I can not say 10X, but I did have a 5x time increase, so I can say there.

Difference is only if you have to download. For browsing and YouTube even 3G works pretty well and you will face no problems at all.

definitely 4G LTE is faster for video streaming. Also for graphics intensive website, speed is a bit slow under 3G. At least it's the case in Australia.

I get about 80Mbit downstream and 30Mbit upstream in my area on LTE... been awhile since I've been on 3G, but I sort of recall it was more like 6Mbit down, 1Mbit up... so yeah... a lot faster.

It sure does I am honestly not seeing much of a reason to upgrade to a 4G phone. Plus there is no guarantee you'll get 4G coverage.
