Hey everyone, I really like the high standards all the authors hold themselves to as far as browser testing sites. I’m trying to accomplish that myself. In the past, I’ve only used browser tested on with my Mac on the latest version of Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. I would then use VMware and IETtester for IE 6 , 7, 8, then Firefox, Chrome, and Safari for Windows. However, is it worth testing for older versions of modern browsers? FireFox 2, FireFox 3, Firefox 3.5, Firefox 3.6, Safari 4, Opera, Chrome 4, etc. How many users are actually on these still? Lastly, would you test these older versions on both Windows and Mac? It would really help if someone could provide a detailed explanation for how go about browser testing. Thanks!

Mostly Users use Mozilla, Chrome, Then other browsers. You can testing mainly on Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome .
It all depends on the USERS of your site. Which country you are trying to focus? How many people use windows in that country? What is the purpose of your website? Things like that will help you. For me, I have visitors who use IE7 the most, then FIREFOX 3.6, CHROME, OPERA, SAFARI and so on.....I hope this helps
