Hi There I am new to this forum and am desperatly trying to improve my page ranking
my daughters boyfreind is an IT student who has told me about backlinking so I have decided to give it a go, I have submitted about 20 backlinks through the adverts on this site but none of them have appeared on my search results (using rapidshare.com)

The links I have done historically are there and a couple of forum postings (which I got thrown off for advertising)

So When you do a backlink, how long should you expect it to appear in search results or for it to actually work ?

    my site is www.stubbsintmovers.com

You are going in wrong direction.
adding just 20 backlinks wont help you in any case.
and many more questions are there, how you are checking your backlinks?
    where are you posting.
    what are you posting?
