Two weeks ago we have launched a web-based semi-automated submission tool at www.digixmas.com, but result wasn't good as expected, because as web-based tool it has many limitations. So we moved to Windows-based tool and now we need tester for beta version. Please, take a look at http://digixmas.com/docs/manual.php. This tool was developed in Visual Basic, on PC protected by Symantec Antivirus 10, so I think it's safe for your PC. We did a short test on PCs with Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 Server, it worked as expected. Submission to almost 200 directories takes about one hour, because my internet connection is slow. May be you can do it in shorter time. If you find some bugs or want to give us some idea/suggestion, please drop an email to . Thank you. Tuan.
Come on, guys. I can't believe that no one is willing to be tester. This tool will be free, so it can profit you all. Thank you.
Dude I would suggest you make it browser - based, like it shows the directory and you navigate throught categories etc. The link basically goes to the directories' submission page and then you click on the profile and all the fileds are added. Hope that helps you somehow.
Thanks, Rezo. Browser-based submission tools as you suggest already exist many. We try to do something different.
Thanks LucasMS. Can you report the success rate then? I just added new directories (total about 250 now), I expect that you will receive about 200 confirmation emails soon . Cheers.
Thanks Pandora for willing to be testing volunteer . Please visit http://digixmas.com/docs/manual.php for information. Now we have about 280 directories in database. You can test it with your old sites also, because these directories do not accept multiple submissions of same site and return an error and our tool will count it as success submission. Cheers.
I stopped the submission early, received only ~20 emails . today I'll try to send to all directories really wonderful tool
I used your site some when you first posted it to DP - I'd be interested in testing this for you as well.
I'm giving it a spin. Will let you know the results as I get them. You might want to look at how to submit differing pages of a site across the list as some do not need nearly as many links as you have directories to submit to for one page of the submitted site. IMHO. Also, I received an email format error when placing an email address based on a .info site.
The speed of submissions is very nice. Is there a way to show more than 2 sites being promoted? Also, can you modify the status of multiple directories at the same time? This would allow to "filter" the number of site pages being submitted so you can promote a site page by page (unless you have a better way). Very nice tool!
And an option to choose what description you want for the specific directory, and a free field note for comments on the directory or submission.
Sorry for late reply, because in Vietnam is GMT +7.00 time zone, so when you made postings, I was in the bed . Your suggestions are highly appreciated, we will consider for next release. Thanks for interesting, this is free tool and everyone can help to improve it by being tester and giving suggestions. Yes, our slogan says the same thing: Speed as automatic, Quality as manual Yesterday our tool served more than 20 sites and by looking to logs, I would like to make some comments that can improve your approval rate: Do not submit deeplinks, Do not use keywords-rich title, Do not use too short or too long title, ideally between 20 to 50 characters, Do not use too short or too long description, ideally between 150 to 250 characters. Some directories allow 100 to 500 characters, but almost all accept 150-250 chars long description. Bypass directories that do not have relevant category for your site, because your site will be not accepted and our category suggestion algorithm will be broken. Our tool doesn't check, but we are considering to put warning when detecting these. We are still looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you. Tuan.
Thanks Tuan! To test the tool, I have tried a few different scenarios to see the results. I must say that thus far it looks good.
Thanks Michael for testing and giving nice words about our tool. I just sent inclusion request to SOFTPEDIA and very quickly get approved and get first award . So from now you can download from http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Search-engine-tools-submiting/digiXMAS-Submitter.shtml Thank you. Tuan.
