Your hosts speed should have little to do with how fast your website is, very few large hosts have slow connections to the internet.

The reason your website is slow is because proxy websites use alot of resources and you probally do not have a server that has the capable memory to handle all those requests + extra resources from proxifying a page.

And if you are using a server which is shared with others, your resource usage is probally hard-limited at a low level. (Otherwise they would have told you to upgrade or stop running proxy scripts.

Upgrade your server's RAM, or fiddle with your apache settings.

Crimson, it should load fast now i have a new server ;)

My server resources are amazing, i have 4 gigs of ram, 2.8ghz quad core.

Problem is i get over 160 000 page views per day, which would hurt any server.

The problem is the 10mbps lines are just not enough, which most companies use and it is a fast connection, its like 1-1.2 megs per second download. I also checked out the bandwidth area, and the line is maxing out at peak times, which isnt good for speed lol. I want to go with a 100mbps line, but i would hit the bandwidth limit 3500gigs easy.

Fiddling with apache settings, i have no idea what im doing in apache so assistance i would probably need ;)
