I see it a lot around the forum, people looking down their noses at Blogger.com users. It reminded me of toffs and chavs. So I thought I'd try an experiment here. To my mind Blogger is the everyman of web publishing. Anyone can pick it up in 5 minutes, you don't need webspace, you don't need web knowledge, no back-end tinkering - but you can be publishing in the blink of an eye. Compare with wordpress - you need a level of knoweldge to use it and get it working that's absent from the blogger.com blogging. I'm blogger.com through and thorugh - cheap, cheerful, feature-light but full of great content [I hope] Funnily enough I did the Chavs Test and the Posh Test when I set 'em up and turned out I was 67% Chav and 13% Posh. If anyone's arsed to do the (truthfully pointless) tests and post their results and their blogging tool preference, would be interesting to see if their was any correlation. So far, Chav and Blogger wins.
The chavs test won't load for me, it's just a white page. I am 20% posh, 39% chav, I prefer Wordpress.
Oh hell - the actual quiz page was borked - that would explain why traffic's been so pants recently. I've put an old version up for now - thanks for spotting that. It must have been one of those annoying blank file FTP errors that happen time to time. Its been broken for weeks.
Chavs are the UK version of trailer park trash, toffs are poshies, knobs, airs and graces types. Images are missing due to redesign, will have to put the proper page up later (I have an old back-up here in work).
Ok, so I am a mixture then. Good to know. I had a hard time with the Chavs poll cause I didn't know 75% of the places it was referring to.
Also i think the design that wordpress can give blogger can't...i mean themes for wp r plenty and high quality..unlike blogger
