    Is using the below code still valid?

    google_adtest='on';

    I've never used this, but if I did put this on my site, what would happen in the stats....from what I've read, clicks don't count, but would the impressions still increase?

    No, you can't use it. The AdSense TOS states that you cannot modify the code.

    I'm sure I've seen on the net that some publishers have emailed google and were advised that this code was approved?

    If this code is not approved, how do we see what our ads look like on the webpage without actually visiting the site and inflating ad impressions?

    I sent an email to adsense support last night and received an email this morning advising that this was an approved piece of code that can be added to your code while a site is in development to prevent invalid clicks or impressions.
