Terrible conversion with adult targeting

I have worked on a whole bunch of successfully PPC campaigns in the past but my newest one targeting an adult sex guide site is proving to be difficult.
No matter what I do I have terrible conversion rates because the only thing my ads can appear for is low quality porn surfers. I know Google are trying to filter adult results out from children but there is a MASSIVE demographic that i am not reaching because of their adult keyword barrier.
I'm sorry but if you're old enough to search for sex guides and old enough to own a card to purchase them online your old enough to be taken to them via an Ad.

Has anyone got advice on how to maybe improve conversion or a keyword tool that will help guide me around the Adult content issue. They refuse to budge on the issue because they say my keywords are not adult based when they clearly are. (I can PM some examples if you like)

Diablos, here's the 2 cents worth of my experience: you can't fight Google; not on this. I thinks this is a case of self-imposed censorship. They figure that either they bend over backwards to filter this stuff out or the federal government will do it for them. You just wait 'til you hit the "Teen porn concept" wall. It's like it's back to 1950's. My advice is to suck it up and work around it. Personally, I would run two campaigns: one on the adult keywords for the site that you have already and one for the relevant non-adult keywords for a "clean" landing page. Get another landing page that is more medical and scientific. Establish some goodwill with Google ahead of time. Get in touch with them and ask for their input in creating a clean page. Ask them if they have any objections to the "clean" page being on the same domain as the principal site. Chances are their objections are to the content and wording and not to the nature of the website. Good luck! You'll need it.

    Thanks,

I have already spoke to Google on creating a "clean portal" and they said only if people cannot access any dodgey content on the site without signing in.
I am thinking of link (PPC Ad) to a site that will link to the actual site, think they will buy that as appose to just a landing page?

They might. Maybe you can try doing the site in style of public service announcement? The Viagra site (http://www.viagra.com/content/rate-your-sexual-health.jsp?setShowOn=../content/rate-your-sexual-health.jsp&setShowHighlightOn=../content/rate-your-sexual-health.jsp and http://www.viagra.com/content/about-erectile-dysfunction.jsp?setShowOn=../content/about-erectile-dysfunction.jsp&setShowHighlightOn=../content/about-erectile-dysfunction.jsp) talk about penetration and sexual stimulation. I doubt Google would bust their balls (no pun intended). Try pushing "This is all a public service" line. It's not like you're promoting something immoral. Maybe try linking to some reputable sites dealing with sexual health issues?
