Terms Of Service Concern

I was about to sign up for Google Analytics which looks amazing but was jolted to a sudden halt when I read clause 11 of the terms which to me effectively sounds like you are giving Google and whomever else they desire the rights to use your content forever. The two deal breaker words for me are irrevocable and perpetuity.

Just wondering what others think about this? The clause is below:

I think you should not worry about your data. as Google is not going to sell your data to any third party vendor. and one more thing if you select option to share your data with Google then and then only some companies or related to Google can able to see your data.

I just feel that once you give someone such powerful rights, especially forever which is a very long time, then this puts restrictions on yourself for licensing or publishing that content.

In the case of music, if you had a song on a site running google analytics and then that song became a big hit well then as I read these terms, Google would have rights to use that song as well and also give those rights to their partners. I know from experience when trying to license certain content to publishers that they do not want anything that anyone also has rights to even if it is non-exclusive. I take your point but like I said it is the words irrevocable and perpetuity in the contract that I can unfortunately not agree to and frankly find a bit disturbing and start thinking what is their grand agenda here - perhaps to eventually have some legal rights to every piece of content on the web or at least everything that uses Google Analytics?

Google analytics is used by most of webmasters, so you should trust on it.

I wonder if most of the companies running Google Analytics on their websites know that their webmasters may have signed away the rights of their content to Google forever? Sure its not total rights but nonetheless to me it sounds like they have a valid and legal claim on using the content should they wish to and that's a nice trump card to be holding up their sleeves especially if so many people have decided to hand them such powerful trump cards.

Is that what it means? -
"post or display on or through, the Services" - if I add Google analytics to my site, I'm not using a Google service to post or display the content
