Well in the Yahoo Publisher Network forum I would think it's common knowledge that I'm referring to Yahoo Publisher Account.
i have not heard of anyone getting their account back. many have called to plead their case with ypn and have been given the brushoff with the standard, you can apply again when ypn comes out of beta. i do know however, that many people who have been terminated have had or bought additional invites to get themselves back in again. and as far as i know, this has worked.
I have heard of several publishers who had accounts terminated due to having images by ads, and they removed images and were allowed back into network. Also one person for having international traffic, he geotargeted his site and was allowed back into network.
What I heard is usually due to international traffic. Have not heard of getting banned for too much click fraud google adsense users live in the fear of click frauds.
There are people who have been "suspended" that have been reactivated, but I think once you are terminated, it's final. I think it's going to depend on the reason for termination. Yahoo is a lot better than adsense for giving warnings before termination.
i havnt heard anyone getting warned about too much int traffic or low converting sites / pages prior to termination. as far as i know, the axe just comes down.
It's right in the TOS that you aren't supposed to show any YPN ads outside of the US - so publishers should always read the TOS and use geotargeting for ad serving if International traffic is an issue. That type of termination is completely within the control of the publisher. The accounts terminated for International traffic have been for a very high percentage. Yahoo can terminate anyone they want, and their program is far from perfect, but they seem a lot more willing to work with most publishers vs adsense. You never know the whole story on a termination either - I suspect many stories that get posted are less than the full story.
