Uhm i woke up to this e-mail, great way to ruin my day. I am still able to access my YPN account though and all my ads are still running, which is... weird since the account number matches my account so this can't be a fake e-mail. I have YPN ads on two of my websites, one is showing unrelated ones but its not even doing that well, it barely earns $1 somedays... and i have another site which is showing very related ads to what it offers... and its making me around $20 a day. (my main source of income right now). I have over $1000 in balance in the YPN account, and my ad placement is good. I have been with them for the 5th month now i think with these sites, and had the account over a year. Its very weird that all of a sudden they decide to terminate my account nah? I replied back asking for more detailed reasons because an automatted e-mail seems very unfair to me. Any suggestions?
I have i hope they reply... i switched the small site to adsense already though, it was doing crap in YPN anyway due to unrelated ads, dont know whether to switch my other one or not yet... it is making good money with YPN due to related ads and good traffic
That would be a very sick joke! What type of site did you have the ads on if you don't mind my asking?
A applet games site. Anyway if there was a problem with ad placement or something they should say instead of kicking someone out like that... its unfair especially when the account has existed for a year and a half without problems.
you should wait 24 to 48 hrs then you will it is joke or seriously...as mail receives first then account closed
If I was you, I would call the toll-free number and verify that your account has been axed. Remember: it's a very easy matter for a prankster to get your account ID from your webpages.
I agree with the last poster. YPN! has always been accessible to publishers so why not call them up to verify their message? You would think that someone at Yahoo! would also get the message that terminating accounts around Christmas looks bad on their part too. The spirit of Jacob Marley lives on, I guess.
the axe has been coming down hard this month. it used to be that publishers would get termintated right around payday in what looked like a batch ban. now, it seems, termination can happen at any time. i wonder if they are cleaning house for the new year and if all these recent bans will bring in new publishers to take their place. however, these continued terminations only show that ypn is not getting ready to come out of beta. they really could have waited until after xmas for this though. where is that christmas spirit we're supposed to be filled with? we're talking 3 days now. while i love ypn and try try try to never take my membership for granted, this is a "low class" thing to do. its like firing an employee 3 days before christmas. only scrooge (and maybe the grinch) would do that. (and even they changed their hearts on christmas day) jmo
I will call them back if my account is still working in two days... i have switched to Google see if i can get better money with them now that my site gets more page views. If Google is not working out and my account still seems to be working in two days ill call them. Ill bang my head against the wall if i make more money with google than yahoo for not switching back earlier
Damn, sorry to hear that. Looks like YPN has no feelings or common sense in this case. Good luck, and I hope you get your account back.
I was axed too, happened last night. I am sorry your account was terminated. My email looked like yours and stated the account won't be closed until Dec. 27th. I have already changed back to Google and am doing well today so far. They leave it opened I guess to give you a chance to put something else up. You should not leave the ads up any longer. Who's to say you will receive the money between now and account closier? They pick through the clicks. So get some other ads up and show Yahoo you don't need them. I sent them an email and even if they do agree I still may not go back. They don't deserve my sites. Again I'm sorry, don't let them ruin your Holiday! Bigger and better things will come.
