Tennessee Road Trip

I have a wedding in Nashville in June and was thinking about exploring the area while there. Do some work with Lexus Magazine and they have an interesting road trip article that highlights the eastern part of the state and the smoky mountains...curious to know if the smokies are worth checking out? Has anyone ever hiked there?

 

I live in Atlanta, GA and Ive driven up to East Ridge and Chattanooga, TN many times. Downtown Chatty is really neat, its nested in the mountains, has a lot of cool bridges, shops and what not. Also, check out Rock City. Its amazing. I think Nashville is about an hour and a half from Chatty.

 

I drove through Hancock county TN. last year and loved it. Lots a old abandoned stores and gas stations. The scenery is nothing less than spectacular, I'd make that trip again.

 

i lived in the Gatlinburg area for awhile, the Smokies are beautiful. its worth the trip.

 

Yes it's worth it...........you'll love it!!
