Ten Proxy Sites / Domains For Sale 1 xPR4 1 x PR3 8xPR2

Well a few months back I thought I had a little extra money to try out a different and enw adventure to expand my adsense holdings. I have a few content sites that have performed well for me and I wanted to expand into a new area. I thought Proxy sites would be great becuase I would not have to keep creating content for them all the time which gets tiring. I was thinking why not give something automatic a shot.

So I found a great network of ten proxy sites. They ranged from page rank 4 to page rank 3 mostly and were earning at the time. Purchased the sites on eBay, transffered them and things looked great for a week. Then the smart prcing kicked in for me and my profits bottomed out. I went from a few days of $90 a day from the sites down to a few bucks per site. It sucked big time and I was not even to get my inital investment back. At that point I pretty much gave up and moved on. I have not really done much witht he sites. Traffic stayed pretty consisten throughtout the sites for the last three months with a slight drop since I have done no marketing at all. They were still earning a dollar or two even up through the end of the month. However, I do not have them channeled in adsnese as I pretty much gave up on doing anything witht hem and rather forget about the experience.

I think there is still a lot of great potential here for someone with expereince in running or marketing proxy sites. However, it just wasn't for me. I did not really get how to build links and traffic to the site. My old model from content sites is write articles, press releases and post to blogs tons of content. However, with a proxy site none of these really made since what should I write about? So...I just cut my loss and moved on.

However I still have all 10 domains. I figured I might as well sell them to someone interested and recap a little of what I lost and hopefully it will help someone out at the same time. It would give someone a nice jump in the proxy market. I am looking to hopefully sell all of the 10 sites as one package and would hope to get at least $200 as that is only $20 dollars per site.

I am open to offers and will leave this to a bid format and see what we get. I will leave these up for auction at least through next sunday unless I get a really great Buy It Now type of offer. If someone wants to pay 900 to 1,000 right off the bat for them then I will go for it (although I know this is optomistic.)

Just a few hints if you choose to take these one:
The adsense ads were not very well targeted and clickthoughs ran around 3 to 5 percent. The sites were very ad heavy with three long banner ad units. Two were done on top of the search box and then one under. I also worked with double square adsense units bumped up against each other and this did a little higher ctr. I think the sites need some good listing on the PRoxy Top Sites, along with link exchanges and possible paid advertising through myspace.com. You might also want to look into other ad networks I never really go to this.

PS I tried to present as much detailed informationa s I have and as accurate as possible. The sites mostly are now down since hosting has not been paid for them. The hosting accoun was closed ont hem just a week ago or so and have been down for that time.

 

No one interested well, I hate to plea but let me know what people think it is worth I am willing to negotiate. If no one is interested I will stick them up on eBay someone might bite there.
