Temporary Hold?

Hey guys, I have a problem needing to be solved.

I bought hostmonster hosting for 95.40 for one year.

I decided to go with someone else, so asked for a refund.

Hostmonster did infact refund the money, but then the next day paypal took it out on what's called a temporary hold..

What is that? When will I get my 95.40 back?

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks, this IS urgent.

Maybe they are investigating your transaction. If everything is clear then no need to worry. If you are in hurry then why don't you give them a phone call, you will get quick response regarding your temporary hold.

Ok thanks, I'm sure everything will be fine, I mean, it was a legit payment to hostmonster and a legit refund. I just hope I don't get scammed out of 95+ dollars from paypal themselves haha.

If everything is legit then no need to worry about it at all.

why you have to buy at the first place if you have to reverse it later.... do you know because of you, they will lose the fees and get one step close to getting there account locked... that is why you have to be sure before you purchase anything... so first always made up your mind which hosting you want or compair all the products before you purchase because reversal cause pain...

That's not accurate - PayPal purchases can be reversed by the seller within 60 days (I think) and no fees are lost.

HostMonster are a massive operation, there is no way PayPal would be stupid enough to lock their account.

BTW as per OP Funds are on temporary Hold so paypal is currently investigate this thing from their side, not locked OP's paypal account.

I know what you mean about the temporary hold ;)

I received $0.50 from someone on DP for visiting their website. A couple of weeks later, they've put that transaction under investigation and the paypal account is now on temporary hold :(

Whenever there is a investigation with someone doing a chargeback or someone stole your money or refunds. usually paypal ends up with a chuck of that. they put you on hold freeze your account, take 2 weeks to end the investigation and request you to provide ID and verfiy everything .visit paypalsucks.com you'll see what i mean
    I love paypal tho
