Temporary Filter Reprieve - What is the common element

It seems the serps which are great for some sites (showing currently) are a result of a filter not being applied... for now anyway.

My expectation is the filter will be applied again and things will return to normal.

While it is lifted however, what seems to be the cause of the filter being applied to your site.

For our sites, the only thing I can think of is sitewide links from other sites outside our control.

Has anyone recieved a massive boost in serps (during this lifting of the filter) that doesn't have sitewide inbound links?

What other reason can you guess the filter may apply to your site... what variables can we rule out.

I do not have any sitewides to a site of mine that does better in what I would call pre filter. This site is shy on backlinks but has reasonable on page factors. Could it be backlink portion of algorithm has not yet been applied?

    This "might" be of interest...

I built a page last month targeting Las Vegas Mobile Homes for the purpose of seeing how long and how many links it would take to get a page sandboxed.

After about one (1) week and four-hundred (400) backlinks that page disappeared. With the filters now removed that page is showing up as #2.

    What do you think?

I have no sitewide links...and my keyword results this morning are gaudy.

Do you think it is possible for G to be making on-page considerations more important?

I have no site-wides, but my 8 month old sandboxed site has built links quickly. So for me, I'm confident it is the too many too quick rule.

Today, I jumped from the mid-70's to #6. I'm hoping this sticks.

This same thing happened last month. It didn't last very long.

could the sanbox be removed, and then renewed? Meaning all sites are reevaluated? Maybe based on slightly different criteria?

I feel like page factors like keyword density coming to play big rool.

You may be right. Here’s what I do know.

Between 00:01 am and 05:30 am today the stealth IPs requested 43 of my 60 pages.

This morning, my sandboxed site moves from mid-70’s to #6. A release of sandboxed sites and/or a recalculation of keywords across the site both seem very possible.

Another observation is that *my meta description* is being used in all SERPs that I’ve found so far.

This is so strange... One of the terms I ranked in the top ten for many years - I am now at #642! How could this be such a dramatic drop? I could imagine going from first page to second - third - or fourth page... But to page 64?

I guess we will have to just continue on the ride....

I have just reported in this thread - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=9130&page=3

That it almost appears that Google has finally re-entered "Keyword Prominance" as a search factor in their algo.

It could be the ONLY explaination for one of my pitiful sites rising from the ashes like a Phoenix.

My Google rankings have gone through the roof...which is great. But there must be some pretty unhappy people out there because I just took their spots. I'm now in the single digits on premium word combinations that had not been in the top 200. We can't all go up, of all my keywords I track, NONE went down.

I won't hold my breath for this to stick...
