I was thinking about building links for a directory by sponsoring blog templates, but was wondering if this really helps as sponsor links do appear at the bottom of the page. Anybody made good experience with template sponsoring to give some advice?
I know many have done it. For joomla and wordpress template also. They usually place a link in the footer. If the links doesnt give you seo juice it could at least give you traffic. I suggest you encode your footer so the user cannot remove your links.
The problem with sponsoring templates is that you don't know if the template will be used by many people or not, so you better find a known template designer with some following!
