Template & Plugins

I recently installed wordpress to use it as a portal for my forums.
Got a template and few plugins uploaded, but the plugins are not showing up on wp.
How do i make them appear ?
Or if anyone can code my wp homepage into a portal, how much will you charge?

Thais is just a temporary homepage?

did you log onto your wordpress admin panal and activated the plugins from the plugins section?

 

Yeah, I activated all the plugins.
They are working in the default template, but not on my installed template.

 

what about .htaccess ??

 

.htaccess is present in the root.

 

What's the template they won't work with? My guess is that there's some issue with it.

Where did you get it?

I am guessing you have the latest WP, does the template claim to work with that version?

It probably has something to do with the sidebar widget, (or whatever it is called these days).
