I want to use something different from the templates given to me from blogspot. Is it possible I can create one? If so, where can I get one for free to be used? The template I need is: I want to be able to use up the blank columns which are blank right now. Thanks.

The 'blank columns' are the space around the template as it has been designed at a fixed screen resolution. To use up this space would require a major re-write of the template. Yes it can be done and I'm sure there are alternative blogspot templates available, try 'googling' for them maybe?

I tried to make the width longer, but it did not do it for me. Googling around maybe my best bet, thanks.

If you're good at designing websites, you don't need anyone else's templates.

    1) Just design a good-looking website.

    2) Decide what goes where (date header, post, comments, archives list, links, previous posts, advertisements, etc.).

    3) Pick up the codes from your existing template and add them to your website.

    4) Replace the template with your website's code.

Do the last 2 steps very carefully.

The problem is I am not a very good website designer. All I need is to extend the left and right used area for my blog. Thanks.

All I need is to extend the left and right used area for my blog.
    Code (markup):
That's exactly what I wanted to do and so I custom-made my template.

    Here's my blog's URL: http://vulcan999.blogspot.com

If you want your blog to look something like this, then give me your desired colours and I'll try to whip something up for you.

You must have observed that I don't have any links to "Comments" or "Back Links" or anything extra.

My blog just shows posts. That's it.

Are you sure you don't want the extra stuff?

And "FFF3DB" is a great colour. I'll use it as the light shade. Can you suggest a darker shade that would match with "FFF3DB"?

I do want extra, but I want to get the basis framework first. I do want the title and description as the blogspot template and the rest similar to yours. Thank.

    Hey!

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vulcan999 and follow the steps to get your custom-made template. It's named BlogPro 2.0.

BlogPro 1.0 is what I'm currently using.

Do tell me how it looks.

Send me a link when you're done putting your blog up.
