"Old School' Intel P4 powered by two hamsters... but I'm running out of hamster food so its probably time to upgrade... and get some serious speed! Maybe I'll get guinea pigs this time. :)

Built it myself but can't remember what everything's called.

    Athlon hex core.
Sticking with XP for now so only 4Gb RAM as more is pointless with XP.
A 1Gb graphics card of some description.
    About 3Tb of HD.

Actually I think 3GB ram is about as much as 32 bit XP can handle, not sure.

If you have a 64 bit compatible computer, you can address a massive 16,000,000,000GB (16 billion gigabytes) of memory

Yes, you're correct. At least with this rig - 3Gb, but it's 2x2Gb so...

Yeah, I was going to go to 64 bit, dual boot, but tbh, I can't be bothered just now.

I'd recommend switching to a 64 Bit install as soon as possible. You'll love how fast your computer is then. Every piece software works at 2-3x the speed.
