    <strong> is better because its a Css term, because new PDA's and such while reading the code use <strong> as a symbol of boldness or make awareness if they have their own css standards it adjusts according. Bold is simply to make text stand out, how can their be a disadv or adv? and it doesnt do wonders for SEO either.
