Right now I am using drupal on my site:

    http://webmastercritic.com/

and was wondering if I should switch to joomla for this kind of site. I am trying to create a review site with web hosting ratings.

I would go with Joomla! since it is very customizable.

Hi there, I would use wordpress. I didn't comb through this page too thoroughly... but I suspect you can find a nice ratings extension of some sort to provide you with that bit of functionality. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=ratings

    Wordpress is rocking these days!
    hope that helps,
    Nigel

I didn't know WP was an option. Obviously, I recommend that above everything else.

here is my suggestion if you want to move to joomla :)

if you want to build a joomla based review site its actually have a vew very good component that very customizable for you interm of layout and component itself.

maybe at first you may need to take alook on joomla extensions website

    sigsiu[dot]net
and the highest rated i want to suggest to you is sobi plugins, you can make a directory website, review website, wiki type of website, and most of directory website without need to pay anything except if you want to extend the function :D you just need a bit of knowdlege of joomla and how to customize it. you can take alook a few of link i suggest based on sobi2

    reviewsforjoomla[dot]com/
    2nd ) JReviews
Paid component that i already test and use it. have a good support but the price around 75 i guess, so far so good and have good feedback from joomla community
    sample of website : reviewmytheme[dot]com

mosets[dot]com 3rd ) and last one ...stand about each of component gudluck mate :P

You can do what you want with either CMS so just use whatever you know best. Personally I would go WordPress as it has the most active community, chances are there is already theme out that does what you want, just gotta find it.
