What's up digital point peeps? I need some advice. My husband has to go into business for himself due to the economic downturn and he needs a cell phone. No, neither of us have one. How do you even start? We'd like something reliable but cheap. Inexpensive is the key word. Any advice? I'm in the SE, USA. Gracias. Seasidewriter
Take a look at att.com (home of AT&T, one of the leading cell phone companies in the US). Though I'm Canadian, AT&T is the 'sister company' of Rogers, which is my provider. I've had great service from them for years now, and if AT&T is anything like them I would highly recommend it. The website will have areas illustrating plans (how many minutes/texts you get per month, and the cost), and phones. If you don't understand it at all, there's surely a customer support number you can call. Good luck!
I use Sprint and love them. Get a contract and your phone will be free. I have a Samsung Reclaim. Great "green" phone. You'll match DP !
Well, if SE = South East of the US, then you have a lot of companies you can look into. Verizon Wireless: They have one of the best services in the NA, but they are a bit expensive. Their smart-phones aren't as expensive as the others and only require a deposit if your credit score is under 620. I do believe with a credit score of 550 you would be asked for a $75.00 deposit, but the worse score you got the more money upfront is needed. AT&T Wireless: Second best in NA, their customer support isn't 24/7 which I think is bad with any company. They offer an exclusive service called, RollOver Minutes. They allow you to transfer your unused minutes to the next billing cycle(IE: You used 350mins out of 500mins in one month, you would receive 150mins for your next month, now a total of 750mins). AT&T holds the famous Apple IPhone, which has a crap load of apps that can help your husband with his business. The one thing I do know is their prices are as bit expensive as Verizon Wireless. MetroPCS: A lot of people down south goes for this service, now this service is EXTREMELY cheap but you are limited in service areas. Their prices go as low as $30 a month including unlimited voice calls. Their is a catch, and that catch is that it's only available in certain areas, which mean if your husband does travel a lot he might be out of range to use his cell-phone. **I don't recommend this for that reason only, you aren't able to use the service in different areas. They are expanding but at a slow rate, so the chances of you losing service when traveling to a different state is extremely high!** Boost Mobile: Boost Mobile offers the same thing as MetroPCS but with a better network coverage. Their prices go for $50.00 a month that it includes unlimited everything. If you are on a tight budget but looking for a good cell-phone provider I would go with Boost. They are under Sprint which they have one of the best services on the East Coast. If you have any questions, simply ask and I can go into more details about any company. With your zipcode, budget limit, and a bit of information on what your husband will be doing. I'll be able to give you three providers with great service and great prices and great phones. What you can also do is visit your local mall and let them explain to you why you should choose them. Best of luck BTW: I go with Verizon Wireless because of two things 1) BlackBerry Storm 2 and 2) Their service is awesome, I received service in subway of New York, not full bar but enough to text for a minutes.

Just have a look at my signature! Xpango offers free cellphones worldwide if you refer some friends and activate your account. It works like that: You register and choose your gift (it can be a mobile phone, gaming console, ipod or whatever) Then you get your own referal URL which you can choose to refer friends. For every friend you reffered you'll get credtis. And if you have enough credits, you can order your gift. If someone uses my link- this would be nice. I would set a backlink on my blog if you contact me via PM. Greetings
For $30 you can have a cell phone with 300 minutes included (10 cents per minute) great for if you just want a cell phone or a spare cell phone or whatever reason. This is the best overall and compare all you like, it wont beat this. http://www.net10.com or you can buy 'em at Walmart and or places like 7-11 and once your minutes has ran out, purchase them online at http://pinzoo.com and they sell pretty much all the prepaid cards out there, great service and the cheapest and no headache.
World wide nokia cell phones are found to be available evry part of country. Not these sets are handy but within reach , when it comes to pocket expenses. I have been using it for the last few years with no problem. It depends which model you choose, newer models are coming with lot of new functions. You choose model according to your pocket. They are sturdy, handy and worth having.
