Many people ask for permanent links.
how the seo guys guarantee permanents?
How to find the pages to place a link which will be permanent?

    And what is bounce rate?

You might realised my knowledge of permanent links  feel free to add some sugar.

    Many thanks,

    yahia

Nothing is permanent. A link on friendfeed's page yesterday may not be there tomorrow.. website market is 'that' volatile ;-)

when one says about permanent link means he wants to keep the link on the page forever. It really depends on webmaster to define the tenure of the onpage link. But try getting it for a longer period of time, the age of the link will help you max in SEO.

You must have seen bounce rate in google analytics, it tells you how long visitors are staying on a page before moving out. Lower the bounce rate, the better for your site.

He's probably referring to a link that is always present - always there.... VS... a link that is dynamically rotated with other advertising links. Permanent links are hard to come by, and only last for as long as your relationship with the site does.

Bounce rate is often a good statistic to see if your links are worth the $$$. If someone clicks on your advertising link on another site, you would like to know if they found what they were looking for. If they click further into your site, that's a good result. If they do not click futher into your site, the click is considered to be a "bounce back". Either they closed their browser or they clicked the "back button". Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors that "go back". Or... you could say it's the percentage of visitors that do not visit more than the entrance page (from the link).

    Cheers,
    Jeff

There are no permanent type of links in online. The blog or website can be shut down or ownership changes can happen at any time. So, getting a permanent link have it's own meaning when it comes to link sales.

For example, if you want to buy a RAM for your computer, they give you lifetime warranty. It is meant the warranty is on until the product is under production. If the product is end of life (EOL) then, the warranty won't get you a new RAM. As you can see, SDRAM is hard to find these days. Probably DDR RAM too. This is just an example.

As for bounce rate, it means your visitor drop on your page and closes down or go out from your blog/website without visiting 2nd page. Easier to say, drop and go is bounce traffic. If you have 100 visitors today and all are drop and go (visit your site and click close), then your bounce rate is 100%. The lower bounce rate, mean the better your site perform.

Permanent backlinks means a backlink which founds for life-long or for longer period. I think social bookmarking gives a permanent backlink. Social bookmarking is very helpful in getting high pr permanent backlinks.

I agree. Nothing is permanent. Any time a site changes owners, a URL, rewrites a URL to be SEF, you risk having your link gone.

You could get a permanent backlink if the link is on the layout of the website and the website is up for ever but most sites aren't permanent so the back link wont be permanent

back links in forums won't be permanent. The only way to keep things permanent if you pay for them. :)

Permanent links are not easy to get, You have to paid for them :p .. beside link your website to you other website which is called three way linking. Or you can try free directories for more.

Permanent links means that they pay a one time fee and link stays there for as long as the site is there.

This is different (and much more rare) than typical text links, which are paid for by month, or by 3 months, or by 6 months, or by year.

Text-Link-Ads offers an 'in-links' program which provides permanent links embedded in old content. My site, ww.AdhocAds.com will offer this service soon as well.
