Many people think TV ads are out of reach, but with the right resources, anyone can get them. Advertisements shown across the nation cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but local ads cost $5-$7 per 1,000 viewers, so you can get an ad for $100 or a little more. In a half hour, there is eight minutes of advertising; six minutes is for national, and two minutes is for local, so if the local advertising is filled up, you'll have to wait for your spot. Besides that money, it can be very expensive to produce the ad, but if you are doing it locally, you can just make a simple one with your website or business name.
SpotRunner.com lets you create and purchase commercials for just $xxx-$x,xxx using premade video templates.
I agree with TV ads. Local TV ads work great for certain online businesses. I haven't checked this myself, but can you buy a "local" spot on networks that aren't local to you or do they require that your business is actually local? TIA
I have been carefully considering radio adds at the local stations. I am curious if anyone has ever tried this. I know of people who have done quite well with the brick-and-mortar business and radio advertising...but I do not hear a whole lot of online business advertising on radio unless it is already well established and well known. Anyone try radio? What kind of results did you get?
Interesting idea. I did not think TV ads before. Now it will be in my mind for my further websites.I guess the niche of the site should meet with niche of the channel to get a nice return. (e.g. technology channel and technology site)
with tv ads its about making a commercial that will generate brand awaraness and also sales increases, most companies run ads through advertising agencys and they have deals with them to pay them if the profits are high and low etc etc.
